Sixers Fan Day 2017

08 November 2017

The Sydney Sixers Fan Day is back, and this year we are off to North Sydney Oval to celebrate at the WBBL Opening Weekend.

Meet players from our BBL and WBBL squads as we celebrate the arrival of the season while also catching some of the best WBBL games of the season in a carnival atmosphere at the picturesque ground.

All your favourites from previous Fan Days will be activating on site, including the Daily Telegraph’s classic catches and face painting, with new additions from Nature’s Gift as well as the big Sixers slide with ball pit. Everyone is welcome to join in and the WBBL team will be there to show you around.

Members will then have the opportunity to head onto the North Sydney Oval playing field for a clinic with the BBL squad from 4.45pm to 5.15pm, before grabbing a seat in the Sixers Members Only stand with the players to catch the prime time WBBL match between the Sixers and the Melbourne Stars.

Sixers BBL player and Australian Test star Nathan Lyon said the Fan Day was a great way to start the Big Bash season.

“This year we get the chance to be a part of Fan Day as we’ll be home between Test matches so it will be great to get down to North Sydney and meet everyone,” he said.

Sixers WBBL Captain Ellyse Perry said that holding Fan Day at the WBBL Opening Weekend would be a great experience.

“The Opening Weekend has such a great festival vibe to it and to hold our Fan Day there will be great. We really look forward to getting involved and then having everyone stick around for our match that evening. It’ll be a fantastic way to start the season.”
