Haylee Hoffmeister has signed with the Sydney Sixers for the Women’s Big Bash League WBBL/02.
The 18-year-old all-rounder is from Campbelltown and represented NSW in under 18s championships as well as Australia in the inaugural female Indigenous squad which toured India this year (2016) in May.
Her batting high score is 43* for Campbelltown Cricket Club and she bowled 2/9 against New Zealand in 2015 for the Australia A under 18s squad.
Haylee also successfully took 1 wicket for 8 runs for NSW in the National Indigenous Cricket Championships in 2016.
Haylee battled difficult conditions (45 plus degrees Celsius) with the Indigenous Australian squad as they toured India. Australia won one of the six games and Haylee was able to gain incredible figures of 2/25 in the fifth match against Mumbai.
