Sarah Aley is a quality medium pace bowler who will bring plenty of experience to the Sixers, boasting one of the best Domestic T20 records in the country.
She first debuted for the NSW Breakers during the 2004/05 season and has been part of 10 successful NSW teams to have won the Women’s National Cricket League. For most of that time, she has been the leader of the team song.
Sarah was the equal leading wicket taker in the 2013/14 WT20 competition with 18 wickets at an average of just 11.72. To cap off her achievements she also won selection in the Shooting Stars (Australia ‘A’) squad to tour Sri Lanka.
Her experience was on show in last season’s WBBL, leading the Sixers pace-attack to claim the most wickets for the squad.
Known affectionately as “Mittsy”, she also has a hand in developing the next generation of players through her work with the Cricket NSW Academy and in 2013/14 she was Head Coach of the NSW U/15 team which won back-to-back national titles.
