The Sydney Sixers welcome back CLT20 Golden Bat winner Michael Lumb for BBL|02 and another season in the magenta! An opening batsman who can hit it as hard as anyone, Michael will make the trip to Sydney to again represent the Sixers aftrer playing a key role in the Sixers Champions League victory and ending the tournament as the competition's highest run scorer. Originally from South Africa, Michael made the move to England several seasons ago, linking up with the Hampshire club where he attracted the attention of the England selectors.
His superb form saw him selected by England for the T20 World Cup in the West Indies where he opened the batting all tournament as England took home the trophy. His father, Richard, opened the batting for Yorkshire for years and when Michael scored his first century against Leicestershire, they became only the fourth father and son pair to score centuries for Yorkshire.
