The Sixers welcome back Mitchell Starc, one of the spearheads of their BBL01 championship winning campaign back for BBL02. After a fantastic first season in magenta and after making his Test debut for Australia last year, Starc’s profile as one of the most exciting young pacemen in the game continues to grow. The 22-year-old’s stats are particularly impressive in the T20 format, averaging 16.35 and snaring 39 wickets in 25 matches.
But it’s not just on the field that Mitchell Starc excels – he’s already kicked-off a sports science degree and has since taken up a degree in Business. Like most cricketers, he’s hooked on PlayStation’s Call of Duty, and also spends much of his time tapping away on his iPhone: either Tweeting or Facebooking. Whilst he confesses that he did just enough school to get by, Mitchell still keeps in touch with his primary school teachers and is in regular contact with his high school mates.
