01 February 2017

Sixers BBL Captain Moises Henriques has been selected in the Australian T20I squad to face Sri Lanka.

The Sixers Big Bash League Captain Moises Henriques has been selected in the Australian Twenty20 squad to play Sri Lanka this month.

Henriques, who led his team to the Big Final in BBL|06, recently played for the Australian T20I team when they played Sri Lanka in September.

The selection of the Sixers' Captain comes off the back of an impressive season for the team in Magenta.

With the bat, his top score was a 76 not out against the Thunder in the opening game of the tournament and in the Semi Final he dominated the run chase and excelled in the Super Over.

He finished BBL|06 with an average of 29.22 and hit a total of 263 runs in 10 innings.

The all-rounder only bowled three overs during the recent tournament, but was still able to take a crucial wicket in the Sixers must-win game against the Melbourne Stars when they qualified for the Semi Finals.
