English gun James Vince scored 98 not out from 53 balls to guide the the Sixers to a dominant nine-wicket victory in The Qualifier against the Perth Scorchers at Canberra's Manuka Oval, on Saturday night.
Player of the Match Vince and Josh Philippe (45 from 28) shared a 92-run opening partnership to set up the win for the defending champions and book a place in the Final. The Sixers chasing down Perth's 6/167 with three overs to spare finishing 1/168.
The Final will be the Sixers first match at the SCG this season.
The Sixers will await the results over the next week to decide who will challenge their title defence. The victor of The Knockout on Sunday, between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat, will play the Perth Scorchers in The Challenger on Thursday, the winner of which plays the men in magenta.
Vince's career-best BBL innings included 14 fours and one six.
With the ball, Sixers left-arm quick Ben Dwarshuis went to 21 wickets for the campaign with 2-40.
Spinner Steve O’Keefe was again very impressive taking 1-20 from his four overs. Carlos Brathwaite claimed 1-25 from his four.
