O'Keefe ruled out for remainder of BBL

03 January 2018

MRI scans have confirmed Stephen O'Keefe has a high grade ankle sprain and will require surgery, ruling him out of the remainder of the BBL tournament.

O'Keefe returned to Sydney from Perth yesterday and will have the surgery this evening.

“Steve O’Keefe has suffered a high grade syndesmosis injury," said Cricket NSW Doctor John Orchard.

“He is seeing a surgeon today with the likelihood of an operation night. “Steve will miss the BBL but is hopeful of returning during the second half of the Sheffield Shield season.”
