Big Bash tickets on sale now!

Tickets to catch the Sydney Sixers this summer in the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) and the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) are on sale from today, Thursday 4 October.

In a first for the WBBL, the two most successful teams in the leagues history, Sydney Sixers and city neighbors Sydney Thunder will ticket standalone home WBBL matches. Adults, $10, Concessions $5 and kids will be free.

The decision to ticket WBBL matches in Sydney is the next step forward for a competition which has seen continued success in the city and beyond, attracting record match-day crowds and a large online following, with over 1.8 million streams of matches last summer. 

Sixers supporters can look forward to witnessing the most exciting summer yet, with an unforgettable match-day experience planned at all WBBL and BBL home matches.

As the BBL competition moves to a full home and away fixture, the Sixers are expecting to welcome a record breaking number of supporters to their matches this summer, over 140,000 are expected to witness the men and women in Magenta.

North Sydney Oval (NSO) will host Sydney’s opening Big Bash match of the summer, when Perth Scorchers arrive in town on Friday 7 December. This match will form part of a blockbuster weekend of WBBL cricket at NSO which will also feature the Sydney derby clash between Sixers and Thunder on Saturday 8 December.

The BBL, which begins at the SCG on Saturday 22 December, remains the best value entertainment in Sydney, with adult tickets from just $20, kids tickets from $5, and family tickets from $42.50. Expect even more fun this summer with great match day themes to get you into the spirit, including the Club’s first ever 80’s themed match and the return of the Sixers Can You Can charity match with the Sony Foundation.

“We’ve worked really hard this off season to ensure our match days remain the best entertainment in Sydney, both at the BBL and WBBL matches.”

“The decision to ticket the WBBL is in line with the value we believe the elite matches deliver, and our match day experiences will reflect that. December cannot come quick enough!”

Commenting on WBBL matches being ticketed, Sixers bowler Lauren Cheatle said “The girls are really excited to have our matches ticketed for the first time, it’s a great product for the game.”

For the first time, WBBL|04 finals will be stand-alone fixtures, guaranteeing the top ranked teams will win the right to host at their home stadium, in front of a home crowd.

Both WBBL Semi Finals will take place on Saturday 19 December at the one location, with the Final to be played the following weekend on Australia Day, Saturday 26 January.

There will also be 23 matches of WBBL simulcast on Seven and Fox Sports, with seven Sixers matches included in the coverage. All other matches will be streamed on cricket.com.au.

BBL|08 will reach more fans across Australia than ever before, with Fox Sports and Seven covering the Big Bash action. Fox Sports will broadcast all 59 matches, including 16 matches exclusively, while Seven will broadcast 43 matches across the season.
