Bid now to own your piece of Sixers history

Sixers fans can now bid on the special jerseys worn by the Sydney Sixers players during last Tuesday night's match against the Melbourne Stars, with all funds raised in support of the Sony Foundation's You Can initiative.

The Club has taken its seven year partnership with the foundation to a new level, acknowledging the young cancer patients who battle this insidious disease every day in a unique way.

In a first for the BBL, players names were removed from the back of their shirts and replaced by words that patients and survivors associate with their cancer journey. The players used this as inspiration in the match with the aim to then raise funds for the cause.

Each shirt will be signed by the player who wore it and auctioned off, with every dollar going towards the building of youth cancer treatment centres, with one at Prince of Wales Hospital due to open later this year.
