Gardner - CA Indigenous Cricketer of the Year

Sydney Sixers megastar Ashleigh Gardner has been honoured during Cricket Australia’s 2023-24 State Cricket Awards following a memorable season.

Gardner has won a fourth Lord’s Taverners Indigenous Cricketer of the Year award following her remarkable performances over the past 12 months.

The talented allrounder was a finalist in the Sydney Sixers WBBL Player of the Tournament award after scoring 289 runs and taking 21 wickets during Weber WBBL|09.

A standout for the Australian women’s team and NSW Breakers, Gardner was member of both the ICC ODI and T20I Teams of the Year, Gardner won her second Belinda Clark Award in January.

Her remarkable 12 wicket haul against England in the Women’s Ashes Test at Trent Bridge, including match-winning figures of 8-66 in the second innings, was one of the highlights of the cricket year.

Gardner's previously claimed the Lord's Taverners Indigenous Cricketer of the Year Award in the 2014-15, 2019-20 and 2022-23 seasons.
