The Sydney Sixers have named a 14-player squad ahead of their meeting with the Perth Scorchers at the WACA on Tuesday.
The Sixers have made two changes to their extended squad with English spinner Linsey Smith replacing fellow international Jess Kerr. Mathilda Carmichael also returns to the squad after recovering from a back strain.
Opening their winning account for Weber WBBL|09, the Sixers secured a 6-run victory over the Melbourne Renegades at CitiPower Centre on Saturday afternoon.
Vice-captain Ash Gardner was at her best, notching 37 (from 30) with the bat and claiming two crucial wickets, while some powerful hitting from international star, Chloe Tryon (41 off 16), saw the Sixers put on a defendable total.
Tuesday’s match kicks off a week-long stint in Perth for the Sixers group, with the Scorchers clash followed by meetings with the Strikers and Renegades on Friday and Sunday respectively.
First ball of Tuesday’s match is scheduled for 5.10pm AWST (8.10pm AEDT) and will be broadcast live via Foxtel, Kayo and cricket.com.au.
