Sixers finals hopes on edge after Strikers claim victory

The Sixers are looking at missing a seventh final berth, following a 7-wicket loss to the Adelaide Strikers at North Sydney Oval.

Captain Ellyse Perry (37) got the ball rolling for the home side, hitting five boundaries before being caught. After a mini collapse, South African international Chloe Tryon (39) added a much needed boost to the Sixers innings that ended on 8-122.

Lauren Cheatle, Kate Peterson, and Ellyse Perry picked up a wicket each, but it was too little too late for the Sixers as Adelaide’s line-up cruised to victory.
