Sixers’ Murphy in PM's XI squad named to face Pakistan

Sydney Sixers’ star off-spinner Todd Murphy has been named by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Cricket Australia’s National Selection Panel (NSP) in the men’s squad for the Prime Minister’s XI match against Pakistan in Canberra.

The four-day fixture against the Pakistan begins on Wednesday, December 6 at Manuka Oval, which means Murphy will miss the Sixers’ opening fixture of KFC BBL|13 against the Melbourne Renegades at the SCG on Friday, December 8.

South Australian batter Nathan McSweeney will captain a strong squad, while Murphy is one of six players with experience at Test level. Murphy, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Jimmy Peirson and Matthew Renshaw all featured in Australia’s Test squad during the recent Ashes campaign in England.

Tickets to the Prime Minister’s XI match are on sale now and available here.
