The Sydney Sixers have held their nerve to claim a one-run win over the Strikers at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Despite being 0-39 at the end of the powerplay, the Sixers never looked comfortable at the crease, with Jamie Overton picking up the big wickets of Josh Philippe, James Vince, and Moises Henriques. Joel Davies impressed with the bat on debut, but it was Jordan Silk who topped scored - finishing unbeaten on 66.
Jackson Bird struck early, picking up D’Arcy Short (3), before Strikers got comfortable in the middle as they looked to chase 156 for victory. Moises Henriques (2-11) continued his impressive form while Jack Edwards claimed the much-needed wicket of Matt Short (55).
Needing four runs from the final ball, Overton found a fielder on the boundary to see the Sixers claim victory.
