Sixers skipper Moises Henriques has continued his strong charge back from the calf-injury which ruined his BBL|05 campaign, after today being named in the Australia A squad for an upcoming Quadrangular series.
Henriques, who has made a successful return to action on the field with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, is part of a 24-man squad which will play a combination of four-day and one-day matches in Queensland in August and September.
The “A” series will provide a perfect opportunity for Henriques to state his case for higher honours. With three Tests, six ODIs and four T20Is for Australia under his belt, he is one of the most experienced members of the squad.
Australia A will play matches against South Africa A and Australia’s National Performance Squad, with a fourth international side to be confirmed.
Specific squads for the four-day and one-day components will be selected from the pool of players. The full squad is:
Ashton Agar, Cameron Bancroft, Scott Boland, Cameron Boyce, Pat Cummins, Travis Dean, Sam Heazlett, Moises Henriques, Jake Lehmann, Chris Lynn, Joe Mennie, Kurtis Patterson, Joel Paris, Matt Renshaw, Kane Richardson, Alex Ross, Chadd Sayers, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Swepson, Chris Tremain, Dan Worrell, Sam Whiteman.
