Silk doubles up in England

Sixers fans know what he’s capable of, and now it seems Jordan is intent on spreading his Silky Smooth ways internationally after an incredible effort in his first innings on English soil over the weekend.

Jordan Silk has signed on for a stint in County cricket in England this offseason, and after a quick hit of #SilkingAbroad, lined up for the Duke of Norfolk XI against Oxford University. Opening the batting, Silk made an incredible 232 not out in his side’s total of 1-376 from their 50-overs.

His opening partner Marcus Campopiano (119) also tonned up, later telling the Sussex Times: “I can confirm he is an incredible player!”

The match for the Duke of Norfolk XI is Silk’s first hit out since arriving in England, where he will spend the Australian winter playing for Cuckfield Cricket Club in the Sussex Premier League.

SWITCH HIT: Smith to return early from IPL

His innings featured a remarkable 27 maximums. It was his second huge knock in as many weeks, after he scored 128 from 98 balls in Tring Park’s 222-run win over Long Marston the previous week.
