The Sydney Sixers have locked in a 14-player squad for their Boxing Day blockbuster against the Melbourne Stars, with the Sydney Cricket Ground set to host one of the biggest events of the Big Bash summer.
Boxing Day at the SCG promises a full-day celebration of cricket and entertainment, with fans able to watch the Ashes Test live from the venue before the Sixers and Stars clash under lights in one of the BBL’s most anticipated rivalries.
Supporters are encouraged to arrive early and soak up the atmosphere, with live Ashes coverage shown inside the SCG from the afternoon, before the focus shifts to Big Bash action and a festival-style matchday experience.
On the field, the Sixers will look to defend home turf against a talented Stars outfit in a high-octane contest that has become a Boxing Day tradition and a highlight of the BBL calendar.

Experienced fast-bowler Sean Abbott has been added to the squad returning from a hamstring injury, while spinner Todd Murphy is unavailable after being named in the Australian Test Squad for the Boxing Day Ashes Test in Melbourne.
