Sixers launch Every Seat has a Story campaign

Every seat at the Sydney Cricket Ground and North Sydney Oval holds more than just a view of the action; it holds memories, traditions, and unforgettable moments that keep fans coming back every Summer.

Following a record-breaking summer that saw more than 13,000 members join the club, the Sydney Sixers have launched their 2026–27 memberships on sale with the Every Seat Has a Story campaign.

The Sixers are shining a spotlight on the people in the stands at their matches and the stories they carry. 

The campaign is built around real stories, capturing the emotional connection fans have not only with the Sixers, but with the iconic Sydney venues the Sixers call home.  

More than just access to matches, a Sixers’ membership invites you inside our club to represent Magenta and access exclusive player experiences, news, merchandise and gameday offers as well as access to our member community. 

With membership packages starting from $46, the Sixers are once again offering a range of options designed to suit every type of fan, making it easier than ever to be part of the action across both the Weber WBBL and KFC BBL seasons. 

Fans can also explore and meet some of the real stories behind the seats at the SCG and North Sydney Oval through the Sixers’ digital channels. 

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said the campaign reflects what the Sixers represent. 

“Our members and fans are the heartbeat of this club, and Every Seat Has a Story is about celebrating them,” Haynes said. 

“Whether it’s a family tradition, time shared with friends, or a first game experience, our members and fans bring unique stories we’re proud to share.  

“We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate community behind us, and this is a celebration of the moments, memories and shared experiences that make being part of the Sixers so special.” 

Sydney Sixers members Kym-Louise, Owen, Ethan and Stuart McDiarmid believe membership unlocks even more unforgettable moments in Magenta. 

Eight-year-old Owen has been a member since he was four and even had the chance to press the Power Surge button through his membership.  

“It was Sixers versus Thunder and Ben Dwarshius and someone else was out there batting, and they called for the Power Surge, and we got to press it, but we were on the field for like five overs! 

“I wanted to stay out on the field.” 

Older brother Ethan said he loves the Sydney Sixers players and cannot choose just one favourite player. 

“That’s a tough one, because I like all of them, but my two favourites are Ben Dwarshius and Steve Smith. 

“My favourite game was when David Warner scored 110 and Steve Smith backed it up with a hundred - it was pretty good.” 

Owen and Ethan’s father Stuart said membership has given his sons priceless opportunities to connect with their heroes. 

“I think it is one of the best things for me — how much time the players have for the kids. 

“Through our membership, we’ve been lucky to have some experiences where they get to interact. 

“They got to speak to Steve Smith, and he spoke about how he trained with his father. His father used to stand halfway down the pitch and throw balls because he figured that if he trained hard, he could play easy. 

“So now I take these boys down to the nets — and they remind me every time.”
