The Sydney Sixers have appointed current NSW Women's Head Coach Peter Clarke as the club’s WBBL Head Coach on a two-year deal.
Clarke steps into the role after serving as the Sydney Sixers Assistant Coach in WBBL|11 and leading the NSW Breakers to a near undefeated regular season and a Grand Final appearance in the 2025-26 WNCL season.
He brings a unique combination of high-performance coaching expertise, leadership experience and deep knowledge of the women's game.
Before moving into full-time coaching, Clarke spent eight years as psychologist to the Australian Women’s Cricket Team, while also supporting the Australian men’s program and Cricket Australia’s male and female pathways.
Alongside his national team commitments, Clarke spent almost a decade with the University of Queensland as Men’s First Grade Head Coach and Director of Cricket before joining Cricket NSW in 2025.
Widely respected for his work in performance psychology, leadership and player development, Clarke has built a strong reputation across Australian cricket and will take charge of a WBBL side for the first time with the Sixers.

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said Clarke’s proven track record and strong connection to the playing group made him the ideal candidate to lead the club into its next chapter.
