The Sydney Sixers confirm England international Alice Capsey has signed a one-year deal for Weber WBBL|12.
One of the most exciting young talents in world cricket, Capsey arrives at the Sixers following a standout start to her international career.
Still just 22 years old, the Surrey product has already represented England 95 times across formats since making her debut in 2022 and was part of England's squad that reached the final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup earlier this year.
She has scored 1053 T20 International runs, including six half-centuries, and has built an impressive franchise cricket résumé through stints with the Birmingham Phoenix, Delhi Capitals and MI London, previously known as the Oval Invincibles.
Capsey also arrives with valuable experience in Australian conditions, having already played 46 WBBL matches across spells with the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades.
With Alyssa Healy's retirement last summer leaving a void in the club's batting order, the arrival of Alice Capsey provides an exciting injection of run-scoring ability ahead of WBBL|12.
She joins a strong Sixers squad featuring fellow England international teammate Sophia Dunkley, under new Sixers WBBL Head Coach Peter Clarke.
Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said Capsey's strength with the bat and experience made her an ideal fit for the club.

"Despite still being only 22, she has already achieved a great deal in international cricket and established herself as a player capable of defining matches.

Capsey said the opportunity to join one of the WBBL's most successful clubs was one she couldn't pass up.
