Darke returns home for Weber WBBL|12

The Sydney Sixers are delighted to welcome home local product Maddy Darke, who has signed with the club through to the end of the 2028-29 season.

A former Sixers player and highly regarded batting talent, Darke returns to Magenta after continuing her domestic development in Western Australia within the WACA's women's program.

Darke began her Weber WBBL career with the Sydney Sixers, featuring in 13 matches across WBBL|05 and WBBL|06 before spending time with the Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers.

She has represented the Scorchers for the past three seasons and now returns to the club where her Big Bash journey began.

The right-handed wicketkeeper-batter adds further depth and versatility to an already exciting Sixers squad ahead of the upcoming Summer.

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said Darke's return was a welcome addition to the club.

"We're thrilled to welcome Maddy back to the Sixers," Haynes said.

"She's a player who knows our club and understands what it means to represent the Sixers.

"Maddy has continued to develop her game over recent seasons and we're looking forward to seeing the impact she can have this summer."

Darke said she was excited to rejoin the Sixers.

"I'm really grateful for the opportunity to return to the Sixers," Darke said.

"This is a club that has played an important role in my cricket journey and I'm excited to get back behind the stumps and contribute wherever I can.

"There's a lot to be excited about with the squad we're building and I can't wait to get started."
