Sixers and Return and Earn team up to drive recycling

The Sydney Sixers are proud to announce Return and Earn as the club's new Official Partner and Official Recycling Partner for the upcoming season.

The one-year partnership brings together two iconic New South Wales organisations united by a commitment to community engagement, sustainability and creating a positive impact across the state.

As part of the agreement, Return and Earn will feature prominently throughout the season, including as the presenting partner of the Sydney Smash fixtures between the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder in KFC BBL|16.

Since launching, Return and Earn has helped Australians recycle billions of eligible drink containers, reducing litter, supporting charities and community groups, and promoting environmentally responsible behaviours across the state.

The partnership will see the Sixers and Return and Earn work together throughout the season to champion sustainability initiatives and promote the benefits of recycling across New South Wales.

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said the partnership reflects the power sport has to drive meaningful change beyond the cricket field.

"We're thrilled to welcome Return and Earn to the Sixers family as both an Official Partner and Official Recycling Partner," Haynes said.

"Sixers have a proud history of connecting with communities across New South Wales, and partnering with an organisation that shares our commitment to creating positive impact makes this a natural fit.

"The Sydney Sixers look forward to working with Return and Earn throughout the season to inspire fans to get involved, give back and make every container count."

Danielle Smalley, CEO of Exchange for Change, Scheme Coordinator of Return and Earn said their partnership with the Sixers will be focused on promoting sustainability, recycling awareness and community engagement initiatives across New South Wales.

"The Sydney Sixers have one of the most passionate and engaged fan bases in Australian sport, making them a fantastic partner for Return and Earn," Smalley said.

"With sustainability continuing to be an important focus across sport and the wider community, the partnership reinforces the Sixers' commitment to using their platform to support initiatives that deliver lasting benefits for fans and communities throughout New South Wales."

Donna Davis MP, State Member for Parramatta said over 16.6 billion containers have already been recycled by the community through the Return and Earn network.

“It is clear NSW loves Return and Earn as much as they love cricket," Davis said.

"I’m so pleased the Sixers fans and players are getting behind this positive program and championing sustainability.”
